We are excited to have you as a guest on our Live Broadcast Network! Here are some tips to make the most out of your experience...

Just a few reminders...

 

Audio and Visual Testing begins 1/2 hour before the scheduled air time. We will use this time to go over the run-of-show and make any last minute adjustments.

We Stream Using Wirecast...

 

2-Hours ahead of the LIVE broadcast we will send you a url link so you can join the broadcast.

Step 1 - You must be plugged into your internet modem via an ethernet cable directly to your laptop or computer (WiFi is NOT Enough)

Step 2 - Email us a screen shot of your Upload AND Download speed test results.

Step 3 - A webcam is highly recommended. This ensures that all guests have similar video output quality.

Earbuds with Microphone...

 

We strongly recommend the use of your standard earbuds with in-line microphone. Most manufacturers include an earbud with mic when you purchased your smartphone. These allow for the best sound and audio.

Camera and Lighting Set Up...

 

To get the best on-camera experience, we suggest the camera and lighting set-up in the diagram to the right. This lighting set-up works best in a dark room, with plenty of depth of field in the background. If this set-up is not possible, we suggest sitting in front of a window with natural daylight. You want to achieve a contrast between the lighting on your face and the dark background. This will let help the camera distinguish you from your background.

Internet Speed is a MUST...

 

In order to provide the best programming experience for everyone, we must ensure that all of our guests are connecting with high-speed video upload and download speed.

Step 1. Ahead of the show...

 

Ahead of the show (seven (7) days prior to the show), please send us the following:

  • 1-3 headshots

  • Company logo in a .png file format or white background

  • Company website URL

  • Social Media Handles (IG, FB, Twitter, etc.)

  • Product photos (we will stitch these together to create a quick video for the LIVE broadcast)

  • Short 9-30 second video clips of you or your projects

Sharing Is Caring! Share your guest appearance with your friends, family and colleagues…

Step 2: Which device will you be using for the broadcast?

If you are joining from your iPhone... 

 

You will be prompted to install an app called Wirecast GO.

 

Please give yourself a couple of minutes to download the app before joining the LIVE episode

IMPORTANT! Wirecast runs best on Safari (Mac) or Chrome (PC). If joining the Live session from a PC, please download the latest version of Google Chrome.

Step 3: Click on the Wirecast URL Link emailed to you by the shows production team

Step 4: Join the broadcast...

If you are joining from your iPhone... 

If you are joining from your Android... 

1) Click on the "Gear Icon" in the upper right-hand corner 

2) In the "Camera" Settings, select the best quality camera option available or "Default"

3) Click on the "Gear Icon" again.

4) In the "Microphone" Settings, select the best quality microphone option available or "Default"

If you are joining from your Laptop... 

1) Click on the "Gear Icon" in the upper right-hand corner 

2) In the "Camera" Settings, select the best quality camera option available or "Default"

3) Click on the "Gear Icon" again.

4) In the "Microphone" Settings, select the best quality microphone option available or "Default"

Step 5. In the "Your Name' box, type your name

Step 6. Click the "Join" button

Step 7. A message will pop up, reading: 

If you are joining from your iPhone... 

If you are joining from your Android... 

If you are joining from your Laptop... 

IMPORTANT - After selecting “join”, a “thinking” icon will appear, along with text that reads:

“Waiting to join...”

 

Simply stay calm and wait for us to add you into to LIVE broadcast

Step 8. Promote Your Show...

 

Every show we book, includes an Event Post and a FB LIVE Episode. Facebook offers several ways for you to promote your involvement with each episode. This maximizes your time on the show and gather some great visibility.

Here's some quick and easy tips for sharing:

Event Posts:

  1. Hit GOING - By hitting Going, FB will send you a reminder 1-hour prior to the event that the episode will be airing. This will also let your network know that you are planning on watching the LIVE Episode

  2. Invite Friends - Hit Share and invite up to 100 friends within your network of followers. You can add a personal message before sending to your 100 friends. Make sure to invite them to hit GOING and to hit SHARE as well.

  3. Share to Groups - Groups allows you to target audiences with a high potential of engaging with your content. By sharing into groups, you provide groups access to the original content you have partnered with TheLBN to create. Post a personal message when sharing, inviting them to hit GOING and to hit SHARE.

  4. Share In Messenger - Type a personalized message inviting your friend network to click GOING. You can also use this message to build anticipation of an offer you plan to run during the event ("Click GOING so you  don't miss our special announcement", etc.). Again, you can send this message to as many as 100 friends and followers.

FB LIVE Episodes:

  1. Check-In - One hour ahead of the event, FB will send you a reminder that you selected GOING. By checking-in, you can post to your page or to groups that you are going to watch the episode. Make sure to post a personal message, inviting your friends to join you while you watch the episode.

  2. Hit SHARE - When the show goes LIVE, Facebook gives you several reminders to hit SHARE. Simply click on the SHARE button and invite your friends to join you as you watch the episode. Remember to remind them to watch for your announcements and/or call-to-actions

  3. Engage With The Audience - Following the tips in section #1 "Assign a Junior Marketer to this Account", there are several ways to engage with both LIVE viewing audiences and re-watch audiences.

Host a Watch Party:

  1. Host A Watch Party - This is a new FB feature that allows you to promote a video and engage your audience. By hosting a watch party, you can create conversation and gather feedback from your audience about the content covered in the program. From a marketing standpoint, this is a great way to gather consumer feedback.
